Viewing Your "Video lessons"
Viewing Your "Video Lessons" Using Your Virtual Coach "Video Lesson CD"
To view your lessons, simply insert your Virtual Coach “Video Lesson CD” into the CD drive of your PC or Laptop. The CD contains both a "Lesson Viewer" program plus a "Video Viewer" program and when you insert the CD it will auto-run and open a front page!

This “front page” contains a "menu" with options to either “View Lessons Files” or “View Video Files”. There are also ”trouble shooting” solutions including video codecs in case you experience any technical difficulties and some promotional material for you to check out! (See below)
Copying Lesson Files to Your Computer
When you select and click on "View Lesson Files" from the menu, you will be prompted to copy your lesson files from the CD to your computer. If you click "Copy Now" your lesson files will be copied to a folder which will automatically be created for you named C:\LessonFiles\SwViewer.
You can save your lesson files to any folder you wish by clicking "Change Path". You will be prompted to "Enter a path for Lesson Files"; in the example below lesson files will be copied to C:\LessonFiles\My Lessons
* If you do not have enough space on your hard drive or do not wish to copy the lesson files onto your computer you can still view the lesson files directly from the CD drive however the quality will be better if you do copy the files to your C:\ drive.
Opening Your Video Lessons
To view your lessons click "Open Lesson File" from the "File" menu of your "Lesson Viewer".
Go to the lesson file you wish to view and click "Open".
Viewing Your Video Lessons
Your lesson file will open; click "play" to "view" the lesson and listen to the audio instructions and teaching cues provided by our specialist coaches.
* Note: Your cursor arrow may also move during the lesson exactly as it did when our coaches created your lesson. This feature allows us to be able to point to certain things during the lesson and further emphasize key teaching points. It is just like the coach was sitting next to you! To regain control of your mouse click the escape "Esc" key.
You can play, pause, fast forward or rewind your lessons using the video control buttons.
Video Lessons typically include combinations of instructional voice-over recordings and coloured lines drawn over the vision, dual angle analysis, the use of freeze frames, or even sometimes super-imposing your vision on top of other video clips; all for the purpose of providing you with the most effective learning experience possible.
When athletes observe their technique on video for the first time; often they are very surprised that how it "feels" is often not how it 'looks".
The "feel" of performing a skill provides valuable "internal" feedback to the athlete and is an important part of the learning process, however their is no disputing the value in being able to provide "detailed" visual feedback to the athlete via the use of video.
In the hands of our experienced coaches; this tool greatly enhances the overall effectiveness of the coaching process and we believe provides a learning experience far superior to traditional coaching methods alone.
Lesson Viewer Compatibility
Note: Lesson Viewer Software is optimized for use on PCs running Windows 2000 XP and above and is not compatible with MAC computers.
